The DERICHEBOURG Multiservices subsidiary specializing in aeronautics won the Airbus contract for the “JSO” Engineering.

A year and a half ago, as part of its EMES3 referencing strategy (including Engineering, Manufacturing Engineering & Services Strategic Supplier), DERICHEBOURG aeronautics services acquired Ylipson, a German engineering company. This company, specializing in cabin interiors & systems engineering, with skills perfectly complementary to our own, has been operating in Germany for over 60 years and has now become: Ylipson by Derichebourg.

In May 2022, Airbus Procurement launched the renewal of the “JSO” Engineering contract on which Ylipson by Derichebourg was referenced on the Cabin scope. The pooling of our skills and our synergy allowed us to succeed in the Airbus tender at the end of November 2022 and to expand this contract by winning different technical fields related to cabin engineering for different programs (A320 family, A330/340, A350, A380) namely:

  • Customization & integration of cabin architecture: design of ceiling panels, doors, linings overhead stowage, ...
  • Electrical design & integration & System engineering: includes all interior components and its connections (electrical connections to equipment, In-Flight entertainment in the seats, lights, intercommunication systems, …)
  • Stress Engineering (material resistance calculations).
  • MAP activities: design office delegated to the assembly line to deal with production issues.

Most of these activities are carried out in Hamburg and in Toulouse, where the local teams are starting their first engineering subcontracting activity with MAP perimeter, and also in India, thanks to the partnership with Quest Global (a historical player in the engineering business located in Bengalore).

The renewal of the JSO Engineering contract has enabled the DERICHEBOURG aeronautics services teams to secure Ylipson's historical perimeter and to acquire new skills in the various engineering activities. A partnership that brings new markets and new opportunities to our other customers (cabin equipment manufacturers, tooling manufacturers, MRO: Cabin Modification).
